Workshops 2009
Bird Song, Call, and Sight Identification with 23-27 th May 2009 or 23-24 th May weekend Explore the ecology of bird habitats and the structure of bird communities in the Robson Valley of British Columbia. Identify over 100 species of birds by sight, song, and call. This is a field oriented week, designed for experienced and novice birders. Over 265 bird species have been identified near The Kakwa Ecovillage site. The area includes very rare bird species and hybrid species that may be speciating, whose basic biology is unknown to science. Rick will lead bird enthusiasts through the Village 540 acre site for 2 hours in the early mornings of 23-27 May 2009, pointing out the above. |

Participants will need binoculars and good footwear--a bird identification book will be helpful:
